सरकार ने आम आदमी, किसानों, मिडल क्लास और MSMEs को राहत देने के लिए GST सिस्टम में बड़ा बदलाव किया है। अब तक के 4 टैक्स स्लैब (5%, 12%, 18%, 28%) को घटाकर केवल दो स्लैब कर दिए गए हैं — 5% और 18%। रोज़ की जरूरत की चीजें और जरूरी सेवाएं 5% स्लैब में आएंगी, जबकि बाकी ज्यादातर चीजें 18% में। लग्ज़री कारों और गुटखा, शराब जैसे “sin goods” पर 40% टैक्स लगेगा खास बात यह है कि 12% टैक्स वाले 99% आइटम अब 5% में आ जाएंगे, और 28% टैक्स वाले 90% आइटम 18% में शिफ्ट होंगे, जिससे महंगाई में बड़ी राहत मिलेगी। इसके अलावा, सरकार हेल्थ और लाइफ इंश्योरेंस पर GST हटाने पर भी विचार कर रही है — इससे आम जनता को सीधा फायदा होगा। यह नया GST स्ट्रक्चर सिस्टम को और सरल, पारदर्शी और विकासोन्मुखी बनाएगा। The government has made a big change in the GST system to provide relief to the common man, farmers, middle class and MSMEs. The 4 tax slabs (5%, 12%, 18%, 28%) till now have been reduced to only two slabs – 5% and 18%. Daily essential items and essential services will come under the 5% slab, while most of the other items will come under 18%. 40% tax will be levied on luxury cars and “sin goods” like gutkha, liquor. The special thing is that 99% of the items with 12% tax will now come under 5%, and 90% of the items with 28% tax will shift to 18%, which will provide a big relief in inflation. Apart from this, the government is also considering removing GST on health and life insurance – this will directly benefit the general public. This new GST structure will make the system more simple, transparent and development oriented.
